200 YEAR ANNIVERSARY
Goshen United Methodist Church celebrated 200 years of worship throughout the year 2008. All of the events were well attended and listed below:

January 20, 2008 - 5:00pm - Hymn Sing
This event was great! Thanks to everyone who attended and helped to make this a very memorable part of our celebration!
May 18, 2008 - 11:00am - Children's Day / Quilt Show / Singing
What a wonderful day! The children provided a wonderful service. The tables were overflowing with food. There were many beautiful and unique quilts on display. The Ward Family provided an afternoon full of uplifting entertainment. Thanks to everyone who came out to share in this great day with us!
September 20, 2008 - Heritage Day - 11:00 - 3:00
Another GREAT event! Church members and visitors enjoyed a day of fun! Horseshoes, marbles, checkers, puzzles and other games were played by all ages! Mr. Bernis White stayed busy all day giving mule drawn wagon rides around the area! We truly appreciate him! Our cooks prepared delicious hamburgers and hot dogs! Our time capsule was filled and buried to be opened in 50 years. Thank you to everyone who had a part in this day! It was a blessing!
September 21, 2008 - Brush Arbor Service - 6:00 pm
Another wonderful event attended by many! If you missed this one - you really missed something! We traveled back in time to a place were church was held under a brush arbor and our preacher dressed in period clothing arrived on horseback! He delivered a powerful message and old hymns were sung. Several members of the congregation were also dressed in period clothes. Prior to the service the mounting blocks outside the church were dedicated. This was a very special time for all involved!
December 21, 2008 - Christmas Service
The children and youth provided a short but meaningful program followed by a very touching candlelight memorial service. Thank you to everyone who took part in this very special event.

Our 200 year anniversary has come and gone. What a wonderful year it has been! Though there are no more anniversary events to attend - We continue to "Celebrate our Heritage as we Prepare for our Future!" Please join with us in worship anytime! You are welcome here!
